Shea Brams, an environmental science major who graduated with a 3.94 grade point average, secured her spot on the CSC Academic All-America At-Large Second Team. She is the first nordic skier to grab the national accolade after garnering her third Academic All-District At-Large honor.
The Panther had a strong final campaign, securing her second All-American honor on the trails after claiming 10th place in the 7.5 Kilometer Classic at the NCAA Championships in Utah.Â
A four-time Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) All-East selection, Brams posted five podium finishes and was the squad’s top finisher in 13 of 14 disciplines during her senior winter. She closed her career with four discipline victories and 18 podium finishes.
Brams made three NESCAC All-Academic squads and was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and TEDxMiddlebury. She earned the Scott A. Margolin ‘99 Environmental Studies Award and created her senior capstone project that focused on supporting the Vermont Treasurer’s Office with the design of Vermont’s Climate Resilience Revolving Loan Fund.
In the community, Brams taught nordic skiing lessons through Snow Stars STRIDE for local elementary students and helped spearhead the organization and implementation of Solar House Events.
