Amy Griffin, a computer science major, earned a spot on the CSC Academic All-America At-Large Team, earning first-team accolades in 2024 and 2025. She has been named a CSC Academic All-District honoree twice.
Griffin continued to dominate in the 2024 campaign. The midfielder took home National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National and Regional Player of the Year for the second-consecutive year, alongside NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year. The senior was also tabbed a first-team All-American, all-region and All-NESCAC selection.
This season, Griffin led the team with 14 assists to help push Middlebury to its seventh-straight NCAA Championship. During the campaign, she became the program’s all-time leader in helpers (49) and sits tied for fourth in career points with 161.
As a junior in 2023, the midfielder claimed a multitude of on-field awards, including being named the NFHCA National Player of the Year, Regional Player of the Year and NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Griffin also secured a place on the All-American, all-region and All-NESCAC first teams.
During her third season, the Panther led the conference in points (56) and was tied for the league lead with 23 goals, while sitting second on the team in assists (10). She concluded the season ranked fourth in program history with 35 career helpers, while her single-season point total was fifth.
Off the field, Griffin was a three-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree and four-time NFHCA National Academic Team selection. She is a computer science tutor and a member of the Middlebury Student Advisory Group. She volunteered at the Yellow House, an organization that provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with safe, residential family households, meaningful vocations and support to develop skills, interests and relationships.
