Middlebury women's soccer player Rose Evans (Needham, Mass.) was named a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Second-Team Academic All-American selection by the organization. Evans is the first player from the program to earn the honor.

Evans boasts a perfect 4.00 grade point average with a double major in English & American Literature, along with Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies. The junior played a key role in the success of the team this season.

On defense, she was part of a unit that posted nine shutouts and a team goals against average of .96. In the title match, she netted the Panther's lone goal in a 1-1 tie with 14th-ranked Wesleyan, as Middlebury again won in penalty kicks to claim the 2021 NESCAC Championship.

Overall, she started 16 of the 19 games she played in and was fifth on the team in scoring with three goals and seven points.

Middlebury finished the season with a record of 13-4-3, claiming the conference championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
