Jane Earley, an English and architecture major, was tabbed to the CSC Academic All-America At-Large Second Team. She was named the Division III Honda Athlete of the Year as well as the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) National Player and Attacker of the Year for the second-straight season. Earley was also a First-Team All-American, First-Team All-Region honoree, the NESCAC Player of the Year and All-NESCAC First Team selection.
Earley became the first Middlebury player in program history to eclipse the 100-point mark in a season and the second to surpass 200 goals in a career. She led the conference in points (106) and draw controls (138), while ranking second in goals (74) and assists (32). The attacker concluded her Middlebury career with 217 goals, 290 points and 257 draw controls, each ranking second in the program record books.
Earley set a Middlebury single-game record with 13 draw controls against The College of New Jersey in the early part of the 2023 campaign. She is just the second Panther to win 100 draws in a single season.Â
Earley was a recipient of the Hazeltine-Klevenow Memorial Trophy, the College's Senior Department Award that is presented to a women's team member who best combines ability in athletics and excellence in scholarship.
The senior is a three-time NESCAC All-Academic team member and was given the Christian A. Johnson Prize for excellence in architecture, awarded to the Middlebury graduate with the best senior thesis.
