Leslie Edwards, a member of the Class of 2001, was an exceptional volleyball player.

Edwards was named the 2000 NESCAC Player of the Year, while garnering all-conference laurels in three of her four seasons. She was twice named an AVCA All-New England awardee while also being tabbed to the NEWVA All-New England Team on two occasions.

Edwards still holds single-season records in kills (429), solo blocks (85), and points (553). She also owns career program marks in points (1,797), kills (1,331), total blocks (443), sets played (440), and solo blocks (255).

In 1997, Edwards helped the team set a record for most service aces (266) and most solo blocks (180) in a season. The following year, she propelled the team to the most wins in program history (27), the highest winning percentage (.867), and a NESCAC Championship. Edwards helped the team make a pair of ECAC Tournament appearances during those seasons.

Edwards was named to the 2000 Verizon Academic All-America Volleyball District I First Team in her senior year and was also a member of the NESCAC All-Academic squad.
