Jessa Hoffman, a member of the Class of 2013, was a game-changing softball player.
Hoffman was a four-time All-NESCAC selection and was named to the NFCA All-New England Region squad twice. She helped lead Middlebury to its first NESCAC Championship in 2011 and was named the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012.
In her senior season, Hoffman was tabbed an NFCA Scholar Athlete and a CoSIDA Academic All-America honoree.
Hoffman left her mark on the program, owning 12 school records at the time of her graduation. She holds single-season marks in most games played (38), at-bats (129), hits (57), runs scored (45), and triples (seven). She also owns career records in assists (300), games played (142), at-bats (465), hits (188), runs scored (143), and triples (25). Hoffman is also tied for most hits in a game with five.
In 2011, Hoffman was hit by pitch on 17 occasions, which ranked fifth in the country at the time of her graduation.
