Middlebury College scored three goals in a 5:25 span of the second-half to post a 4-3 win over Skidmore College in a battle of top-10 field hockey teams.
The Thoroughbreds took a 1-0 lead on Erin Walters-Bugbee's goal at 27:52 of the first half. Emily Enos tied it for the Panthers two minutes later. Julie Lutz scored off a penalty corner at 11:49 to put Skidmore back on top and Walters-Bugbee made it 3-1 at 10:31.
Middlebury took over in the second half. Ashley Lyddane scored with 16:01 to play to make it a one-goal game. Lauryn Nicasio tied it with 12:57 to play and Allison Smith scored the game winner at 10:36.
Skidmore (4-2) is ranked ninth in the latest NFCHA Division III national poll, while the Panthers (4-0) are ranked sixth.
