Abigail Nadler posted an All-American sixth-place finish in the 1,500-meter run during the final day of the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships. The three-day event was hosted by Wartburg in Waverly, Iowa and took place at the Waltson-Hoover Stadium. Nadler's three points on Saturday coupled with a fifth-place All-American run from Adrian Walsh in Thursday's 10,000-meter run gave the Panthers seven team points, tying them for 39th out of 85 teams who scored points.
On the track, Nadler posted a qualifying time of 4:35.48 during Thursday's preliminary, good for entry into Saturday's final with the 12th and final spot. In Saturday's race, Nadler concluded a successful first season by shaving nearly five seconds off her qualifying time with a sixth-place effort of 4:30.65 for All-American laurels.
Capping off her second appearance in the NCAA Outdoor Championship in as many years was Devon Player, who finished 18th in the javelin with a throw of 128'9.75" in her first attempt.
