Brooke Dolan, a recent Middlebury graduate and four-year member of the women's track and field team, has served as a pillar in the local community throughout her time in Vermont. The 2026 John M. McCardell Jr. Public Service Leadership Award recipient has dedicated countless hours to the Charter House Coalition, an emergency shelter that assists individuals experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. She served as the president of the student group, working to plan and prepare meals that Dolan and other volunteers enjoyed alongside the shelter's residents.

Additionally, Dolan works as a Spanish interpreter at the Open Door Clinic, which provides medical assistance to individuals with limited or no insurance. This clinic offers services in a variety of areas, including optometry, dentistry and physical therapy.

The Panther Profile series is a monthly feature that showcases the achievements and activities of Middlebury student-athletes beyond their sports. Each installment was filmed, edited and produced by George Madison, a senior member of the Middlebury men's cross country and track and field teams.
