The Middlebury women's 4x400-meter relay team along with Alexandra Morris in the 400-meter dash earned All-American honors on the second and final day of the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships. The two-day event took place at the Charles Benson Bear '39 Rec and Athletic Center in Grinnell, Iowa on the campus of Grinnell College. Coupled with Friday's distance medley relay fourth-place finish and Adrian Walsh's seventh-place effort in the 5,000-meter run, the women racked up a combined nine team points, good for a tie for 24th place out of 77 teams who scored.
During the 400-meter run championship final, Morris crossed the finish line with an eighth-place time of 58.05.
In the final event of the meet, the 4x400-meter relay quartet of Jackie Kearney, Lucy Lang, Paige Fernandez and Morris stopped the clock in eighth place with a time of 3:58.00.
The Panthers will begin their outdoor season when they head to California in two weeks for a pair of meets at Point Loma Nazarene University beginning on Saturday, March 26.
