Two members of the Middlebury women's track and field teams looked to better their distances for the upcoming NCAA Championship next week, competing at the ECAC Championship event Thursday hosted by Springfield. Carly Andersen and Devon Player each took part in the javelin throw, garnering All-ECAC honors with their top-eight finishes.

In Thursday's event, Andersen launched the javelin to a fourth-place distance of 135'4", while Player was right behind in sixth at 131'3". Each Panther recorded their respective distances on the first toss of the afternoon.
