Taking part in the 2015 NESCAC Outdoor Championship, the Middlebury women's track & field team finished third, while the men were fourth in the event hosted by Williams on Williamson Field. Williams claimed the women's crown with 170 points just ahead of Tufts' 148 points and Middlebury's 98 points, while the Tufts men won the team title (169.3) ahead of Williams (164), Bates (109.5) and Middlebury (73).
Taking home individual event crowns on the women's side were Alison Maxwell and Carly Andersen. Maxwell was victorious in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:31.82, while Andersen tossed the javelin to a winning distance of 138'3". Andersen's conference winning toss was just ahead of runner-up Devon Player, who launched the spear 133'11".
In addition to Player's second-place effort, the Panther women recorded three additional runner-up efforts. Adrian Walsh was the second to cross the line in the 10,000-meter run (36:27.98), while Sarah Guth stopped the clock second in the 1,500-meter run (4:38.52). In the same event, Maxwell was right behind Guth in third (4:39.37). The 4x800-meter relay team of Nicole Schachman, Lauren Bougioukas, Guth and Robin Vincent posted a time of 9:19.80 for second-place honors.
Also garnering all-conference honors with third-place finishes were Paige Fernandez in the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.21), and the 4x400-meter relay quartet of Halle Gustafson, Fernandez, Jackie Kearney and Alexandra Morris (3:58.54).
On the men's side, a number of top-five finishes were tallied. The 4x100-meter relay of Sam Rives, Michael Pallozzi, Fritz Parker and Will Bain stopped the clock with the second-quickest time of 42.82. A few events later, the 4x400-meter relay of Parker, James Mulliken, Tyler Farrell and Alex Nichols finished fourth (3:24.25)
Individually, Kevin Serrao raced to third in the 800-meter run (1:53.50), while Talyor Shortsleeve was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (15.10). Alex Nichols crossed the line fifth in the 400-meter dash (49.80).
Away from the track, Conor Simons cleared the bar at a height of 14'1.25" for runner-up honors in the pole vault, while Jared Whitman was third (13'7.25"). Shortsleeve picked up a fourth-place height in the high jump (6'2"), while Taylor Moore wound up fourth in the javelin throw (166'4").
