A trio of athletes from the Middlebury men's track & field team competed in their respective events during the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio. Action continues on Friday at Selby Stadium as Laura Strom will take part in the women's high jump competition beginning at 2:00 p.m.

During Thursday's men's pole vault competition final, Jason McCallum passed on his first two heights. Looking to move the bar up, he failed to clear the bar at 15'11" on all three attempts, and thus didn't record an official height.

During two preliminary runs, Wilder Schaaf didn't advance to Saturday's final, finishing in 20th place in a time of 3:58.43. A few events later, Jake Wood also didn't qualify for Saturday's final in the 400-meter hurdles, as he stopped the clock in 54.37 for 18th place.
