Members of the Middlebury track and field teams had one more chance to qualify for the upcoming NCAA's, competing at the ECAC Championship event hosted by Rensselaer. Jason McCallum broke the school's 15-year old pole vault record, clearing 15'11.25” to earn All-ECAC honors with a third-place effort.
Two other Panthers earned All-ECAC honors, including Laura Strom, who cleared 5'6.5” to place fourth in the high jump. Crossing the line in 49.77 in the 400 was Alex Nichols, to earn all-conference honors in sixth place.
Also competing for Middlebury was Bryan Holtzman, who raced in both the 100 (10.94, 13th) and 200 (22.16-12th) events. Alison Maxwell placed 17th in the 1,500 (4:51.22), while Wilder Schaaf came in 15th (4:05.76) in the same event.
