Alexandra Morris won the 400-meter dash leading the Middlebury women's indoor track team to an eighth-place finish Saturday at the New England Championships hosted by Springfield, while the men were 14th at M.I.T. The women racked up 25 team points with 28 teams, while the men had 12.5 points with 26 teams competing.

The school record holder in the event, Morris crossed the line with a time of 58.49, good for 10 team points.

Other point-scoring performances were posted by Laura Strom in the high jump (5'3”, 4th) for five points, while Alison Maxwell stopped the clock in fifth (5:08.44) during the mile run racking up four points. Erzie Nagy was sixth in the 800m run (2:21.30) for three points, Hannah Blackburn finished seventh in the triple jump (34'10.25”) for two points, and the DMR team of Cate Skinner, Addis Fouche-Channer, Abigail Pohl and Kathleen Rominger were eighth in 12:50.87 for one point.

At M.I.T, Diego Galan Donlo was tied for fourth in the high jump clearing the bar at 6'4” for 4.5 points. Wilder Schaaf was sixth in the mile run (4:16.85) for three points. Alex Nichols finished seventh in the 400 dash in 51.05 for two points, while Brandon Cushman also finished seventh in the 600 run 1:24.32 for two points. The DMR quartet of Mark Perry, Alex Ugorji, Sam Klockenkemper and Sebastian Matt was eighth in 10:42.21 for one point, while the 4x400 relay was fifth in 3:27.35 for four points.

The Panthers will return to the track next Friday when they take part in the Open New England Championships hosted by Boston University.
