The Middlebury men's and women's indoor track teams were in action at the two-day McGill Team Challenge in Montreal. The Panthers return to action next Saturday when they take part in the Dartmouth Classic beginning at 11:00 a.m.
In women's action, the 4x200-meter relay quartet of Alexandra Morris, Sara Sobolewski, Lauren Henry and Jackie Kearney set a school record with a time of 1:47.45, good for 12th place.
Laura Strom cleared the bar in the high jump competition at 5'6.5” good for fourth place and six team points. Middlebury's other point came from Maddie Pronovost, who competed in the pentathlon with 1,943 points.
Additionally, Emily Mellen was 12th in the pole vault (9'2.25"), while Hannah Blackburn was 13th in the triple jump (33'9.25"). Morris also picked up a 14th-place finish in the 600-meter run (1:37.06).
During men's competition, Jason McCallum produced a fifth-place finish in the pole vault. He cleared the bar at 14'10” for fifth place and five points.
