The Middlebury College track and field teams both earned third place finishes at the 2012 NESCAC Championships hosted by Bates. Williams won the women's title (180), followed by Tufts (159), Middlebury (157) and Bowdoin (99.5). The host school captured the men's title with 156.25 points, followed by Tufts (146.25), Middlebury (124) and Williams (111.75). The Panthers won seven NESCAC crowns on the women's side while taking home six in the men's events.

Margo Cramer won two NESCAC titles for the women, setting a new school and NESCAC Championship meet record with a time of 10:28.66 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase event. Cramer set a new Bates facility record en route to the title in the 1,500 meters, finishing in 4:38.53.

Juliet Ryan-Davis brought home the title with a time of 2:17.02 in the 800, Addie Tousley was NESCAC Champion in the 5,000 in 17:33.36., while Mia Martinez earned a time of 14.53 in the 100 hurdles to capture the title with a new facility record.

A leap of 5'5.25” earned Grace Doering a new facility record in the high jump, while Lauren Pincus tossed the javelin 120'6” to win the event.

Michael Schmidt paced the men's team with a pair of NESCAC victories. He finished with a time of 14:48.04 to win the 5,000, while coming in with a time of 31:33.18 en route to the 10,000 meter title.

Peter Hetzler won the 400 in 51.75, Kevin Chu was victorious in the 110 meter hurdle race in 14.71, while Jack Davies came in with a time of 9:13.86 to win the 3,000 steeplechase.

The men's 4x100 relay team of Jason McCallum, Bryan Holtzman, Fritz Parker and Hetzler won the NESCAC title with a time of 43.12.
