Five School Records Set At B.U.

The Middlebury College indoor track team sent a handful of athletes to Boston University to compete in the B.U. Valentines Meet. When the weekend had completed, five new school records had been set by the Panthers, including a nation's best time of 11:40 in the women's DMR. Comprising that team were junior Addie Tousley (Kensington, Md.), senior Rebecca Fanning (Ipswich, Mass.), junior Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) and senior Margo Cramer (Seattle, Wash.).

Ryan-Davis also competed in the 400, setting a new school mark with a time of 58.35. Breaking her own school record in the 800 was Cramer, who finished with a time of 2:13.41.

On the men's side, the DMR relay team of junior Jack Davies (Crosse Pointe, Mich.), sophomore Peter Hetzler (Rumson, N.J.), junior Patrick Hebble (Sudbury, Mass.) and senior Michael Schmidt (Wilmette, Ill.) set a new school mark with a time of 9:55.53, the fourth-best time nationally.

Sophomore Bryan Holtzman (Sudbury, Mass.) earned a school-best time of 22.49 in the 200 for the team's fifth record of the day.
