Track & Field Competes At Dartmouth

The Panther track and field teams took part in a rare Sunday meet, racing at nearby Dartmouth over the weekend against the Big Green and the University of Vermont. Four different women won events, including senior Annie Rowell (Craftsbury, Vt.), who captured the 100 in 13.05.

Sophomore Juliet Ryan-Davis (Newton, Mass.) earned a win for the Panthers in the 400 (58.38), as did first-year athlete Madie Hubbell (Des Moines, Iowa) in the 5,000 (18:20.95). Middlebury's other winner on the women's side was sophomore Emily Dodge (Auburn, Maine), who won the long jump with a leap of 17'5.25”.

Sophomore Stuart Fram (Waterbury Center, Vt.) was a winner for the men in the 110 hurdles, capturing the event in 15.47. First-year racer Peter Hetzler (Rumson, N.J.) earned a pair of second place finishes, accomplishing the feat in the 200 (22.40) and the 400 (49.93). Also earning second place finishes were sophomore Jack Davies (Grosse Point, Mich.) in the 1500 (3:57.80) and senior Donovan Dickson (Austin, Texas) in the 3,000 steeplechase (9:37.80).
