Track Athletes Compete

The Panther track and field team saw its invitational meet cancelled over the weekend, but Middlebury did host the decathlon and heptathlon events. Other athletes headed to a meet at Princeton, attempting to gain NCAA qualifying times. Senior Michael Waters (Bedford, Mass.) broke the school record in the 1500, finishing with a time of 3:55.24. Four athletes did achieve provisional NCAA qualifying times, including first-year racer John Davies (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) in the steeplechase with a time of 9:20.24.
