Indoor Track Races At M.I.T.

The Panther indoor track teams competed at M.I.T. over the weekend with several other schools in action. Thirteen different Middlebury athletes won events at the meet, with numerous top five finishes.

Senior Anjuli Demers (Dracut, Mass.) earned a win in the 200 (27.27), sophomore Rebecca Fanning (Ipswich, Mass.) won the 800 (2:19.29), while junior Sophia Spring (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.) earned a victory in the mile (5:08.99). Juniors Jessica Spar (Short Hills, N.J.) and Amanda Lee (Lincoln, Neb.) rounded out the women's winners, with Spar capturing the mile (10:49.90) and Lee winning the 5000 (19:26.80). Demers, senior Laura Dalton (Simsbury, Conn.), junior Alice Wisener (Ridgewood, N.J.) and rookie Emily Dodge (Auburn, Maine) made up the women's 4x200 relay team that won with a time of 1:50.51.

Junior Addison Godine (Milton, Mass.) captured the 600 (1:25.30) for the men, while junior Kristoffer Williams (Fairport, N.Y.) brought home the title in the pole vault (14'8.75"). Also earning victories for the men were junior Jack Terrett (Sherborn, Mass.) in the mile (4:32.01) and senior Michael Waters (Bedford, Mass.) in the 800 (2:01.53).
