Middlebury advanced in the NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament with a 5-0 victory on Saturday over Moravian in a match played on Middlebury's Proctor Tennis Courts. The third-ranked Panthers (17-2) will play ninth-ranked Tufts (9-9) on Sunday at 12:00 p.m., while the Greyhounds conclude their season at 20-2.

Middlebury raced out to a 3-0 advantage at the conclusion of doubles and surrendered just three games. The Panther team of Christina Puccinelli and Maddi Stow posted an 8-0 victory at No. 3 over Moravian's Brooke Adams and Kristen Cassidy. Middlebury doubled its lead when Heather Boehm and Ann Martin Skelly tallied an 8-1 victory over Emma Angle and Eiman Nazif in the top flight. The No. 2 duo of Katherine Hughes and Skylar Schossberger rounded out the sweep with an 8-2 triumph over the Greyhounds' Mary Angle and Lauren Steinert.

In singles matches, the Panthers were victorious at No. 3 and No. 5 within minutes of each other to seal the match, surrendering just one game on the four remaining courts. In the third spot, Puccinelli defeated Mary Angle by scores of 6-0, 6-0, while Stow clinched the match at No. 5 by similar 6-0, 6-0 tallies against Adams.

The remaining four matches went unfinished with the Panthers up on each court. Boehm held a 6-0, 5-0 lead against Emma Angle in the top spot, while Hughes grabbed the opening set by a 6-1 score and was ahead 3-0 at No. 2 against Nazif. Schossberger was up by a set (6-0) and led 3-0 against Steinert in the fourth flight, while Emily Bian secured the first set 6-0 and was ahead 5-0 against Cassidy at No. 6.
