The third-ranked Middlebury women's tennis team concluded its regular season on a high note, earning an 8-1 road win at No. 16 Skidmore (11-6). With the triumph, the Panthers have won nine-straight matches and improve to 15-1 overall. Middlebury returns to the courts next weekend when it hosts the NESCAC Championships on the Proctor Tennis Courts.

The visitors secured all three points during doubles play. The No. 3 team of Christina Puccinelli and Maddi Stow started things with an 8-0 victory over Jackie Ahn and Laura Swenson, while the top tandem of Heather Boehm and Ann Martin Skelly doubled the lead with an 8-2 win against Risa Fukushige and Renee Karchere-Sun. The No. 2 pair of Katherine Hughes and Skylar Schossberger earned the team's third point via an 8-1 win over Lily Feldman and Sofia Carlsson.

During singles play, Puccinelli gave the Panthers a 4-0 advantage, blanking Karchere-Sun at No. 3, while Hughes clinched the match and the team's fifth point with a 6-2, 6-0 decision against Koiava in the second spot. Schossberger won 6-2, 6-4 against Feldman in the fourth flight, Emily Bian was victorious 6-0, 6-0 at the bottom of the lineup and Stow recorded a 6-4, 6-0 triumph at No. 5 for an 8-0 Panther advantage.

The Thoroughbreds recorded the final point of the match with a straight-set win atop the lineup for the final 8-1 score.
