The Middlebury women's tennis team wrapped up its successful weekend trip through Connecticut with a 6-3 victory Sunday at No. 5 Wesleyan (9-2, 5-2). The match took place at the John Wood Memorial Tennis Courts. The fourth-ranked Panthers (12-2, 5-1) conclude the regular-season portion of their schedule on Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. match at No. 8 Amherst.

The visitors began by recording two of the three doubles points. The No. 3 Panther tandem of Heather Boehm and Ann Martin Skelly cruised past Helen Klass-Warch and Nicole McCann. The Cardinals knotted the match at 1-1 via an 8-5 win in the top spot. At No. 2, Catherine Blazye and Maddi Stow gave the Panthers a 2-1 lead after doubles with an 8-2 victory against Polina Kiseleva and Alissa Nakamoto.

In singles, the hosts leveled the match at 2-2 with a win in the top spot. Middlebury regained the lead with victories at No. 5 and No. 4. Skylar Schossberger tallied a 6-1, 6-1 win over Helen Klass-Warch in the fifth position, while Blazye posted a 6-1, 6-0 triumph one flight above over Nakamoto.

Wesleyan pulled to within one at 4-3 with a straight-set win in the second spot.

The Panthers closed out the match with two victories for the final 6-3 score. Stow defeated Zoe Klass-Warch at No. 6 (6-0, 6-3), while Boehm won the first set in the third flight against Budhiraja (6-3) and was up 2-1 when the Cardinal retired.
