Middlebury concluded its weekend of home matches with an 8-1 victory on Sunday over No. 17 Skidmore (11-4) in the regular-season home finale. The match took place inside the Nelson Recreational Center due to inclement weather. Middlebury (9-2) has a few days off before returning to action on Friday at Division I Quinnipiac beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The hosts began by scoring two of the three points during doubles play. The No. 3 tandem of Heather Boehm and Ann Martin Skelly posted an 8-4 victory over Alexa Goldberg and Jessica Ampel. The Thoroughbreds tallied their lone point of the match with an 8-3 triumph in the second flight. The Panther team of Katherine Hughes and Skylar Schossberger propelled the hosts to a 2-1 lead via a narrow 8-6 win against Michelle Fuca and Risa Fukushige.

In singles, the Panthers claimed all six points, with each victory coming in straight sets. Boehm dropped just two games during a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 over Ada Wiggins, marking her 16th-straight win as an individual dating back to the fall season.

Catherine Blazye followed suit seconds later with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph of her own against Renee Karchere-Sun in the third spot. Hughes clinched the match for the second-straight day in the top spot with a 6-3, 6-0 victory against Fukushige.

Schossberger made it 6-1 in favor of the hosts with a 7-5, 6-2 match against Fuca, while Maddi Stow blanked Laura Swenson at No. 5 (6-0, 6-0). Molly Paradies rounded out the scoring with a 6-0, 6-0 victory of her own in the sixth position over Jackie Ahn for the final 8-1 score.
