Wyer's School Record Highlights Day Two of NCAA Championships

Isabel Wyer lowered her own school record in the morning preliminaries of the 200 freestyle, highlighting day two of the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The four-day event is taking place at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina and is hosted by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Wyer recorded the morning's fourth-best time and lowered her own school record with a swim of 1:49.77, as the top-four preliminary times were separated by just .5 seconds. However, she was unable to compete in the evening's championship final due to a medical scratch. Morgan Burke also swam in the event for the Panthers with the morning's 30th-best time (1:53.46).

In the morning's preliminary swim, the 200 free relay team of Burke, Kristin Karpowicz, Wyer and Stephanie Andrews finished 23rd with a mark of 1:36.82.

The third day of competition is scheduled to begin Friday morning with preliminaries at 10:00 a.m., while the finals are slated for 6:00 p.m.
