Hannah Baumgartner swam the opening league of the 800 free relay.
The 25th-ranked Middlebury women's swimming and diving team took to the blocks for the third day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships from the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, garnering an All-American finish in the 800 freestyle relay.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The quartet of Hannah Baumgartner, Anna McGrew, Isla Johnston and Lauren Jolley clocked a time of 7:35.03 to claim seventh place in the morning's session. After the final results shook out, the Panthers slotted 15th in the standings..
- Jolley had the fastest split of the four Middlebury swimmers, touching the wall during her 200 leg in 1:53.68.
NOTES
- Based on its finish, the quartet secures All-American honors with a second-team nod.
Johnston (1,650 free) and McGrew (100 free) close the final day of competition on Saturday. Preliminary swims begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the evening session at 6:00 p.m.
