Jamie Hillas earned Honorable Mention All-American honors with a 14th-place finish in the 200 individual medley during day one of action on Wednesday at the 2015 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The four-day event is taking place at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas and is hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and the City of Shenandoah.
Stopping the clock with the morning's 16th-best time of 2:05.47, Hillas lowered that time and moved up two spots to grab 14th in the evening's consolation final with a mark of 2:05.38.
In the morning preliminary swim, the 200 medley relay team of Sarah Bartholomae, Hillas, Megan Griffin and Courtney Haron touched the wall in a time of 1:45.75 for 17th place, just missing the evening's finals as the top-16 quartets advanced out of the morning.
The second day of competition is scheduled to begin Thursday with preliminaries at 11:00 a.m., while the finals are slated for 7:00 p.m.
