The Middlebury women's tennis team advanced to the NCAA Regional Finals after a 5-0 win over The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) (12-7) in a match played at Bowdoin. The 10th-ranked Panthers (11-7) will meet the host school at noon on Sunday with a trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals on the line.
Middlebury gave up just four games in doubles play, en route to a sweep of all three matches. Ria Gerger and Kaysee Orozco topped Jasmine Muniz-Cadorette and Emma Allen 8-1 to get things rolling at #1. Alexandra Fields and Lily Bondy followed with a victory by the same score in the second spot over Tara Criscuolo and Katie Buchbinder. Lauren Amos and Margot Marchese made it a 3-0 match at #3 with an 8-2 win over Anna Prestera and Victoria Michels.
Dorrie Paradies had little trouble with Victoria Michels at #6 singles, earning a 6-0, 6-1 win to make it a 4-0 match. Gerger did not give up a game in the top spot, picking up a 6-0, 6-0 win to seal the victory.
Fields, Orozco, Bondy and Marchese were all up a set in their respective matches.
