The 10th-ranked Middlebury women's tennis team (6-4) dropped a 9-0 decision Friday afternoon to #2 Emory in a match played at Bowdoin. The match was the first of three on the road this weekend. The Panthers will take on #15 Trinity (Conn.) on Saturday followed by a Sunday match at Wesleyan. Both contests will be begin at noon.
In doubles, the #2 tandem of Lauren Amos and Margot Marchese along with the #3 duo of Jennifer Sundstrom and Alexandra Fields fell by identical 8-6 to their respective opponents.
The Eagles (16-2) swept all six singles matches in straight sets. The closest match came at #4 where Dorrie Paradies fell 6-2, 6-2 to Melissa Goodman.
