The Middlebury women's tennis team ended its fall season sending players to compete at the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament. The event took place at Mt. Holyoke with four brackets contested. Duos from respective schools would play two singles and one doubles match against each other, with the winners advancing to the next round.
Katie Paradies and Shannon Gibbs turned in an impressive performance for the Panthers, advancing to the finals of the flight "C" Chris Davis Draw. The pair swept its first three matches by scores of 3-0, before falling to Babson 2-1 in the finals.
Middlebury had a pair of teams competing in the "A" bracket, named in honor of long-time Middlebury coach and administrator Gail Smith. Alexandra Fields and Jennifer Sundstrom were 2-1 victors in their first match, before falling to Williams by the same score in the quarterfinals. In the same flight, Kaysee Orozco and Lily Bondy picked up a 2-1 win in the first round before bowing out to Amherst in the quarterfinals, 3-0.
