The Panther women's tennis team faced some stiff competition during their spring break trip to Georgia, as 10th-ranked Middlebury earned a 2-1 mark. The week opened with a battle against top-ranked Emory, with Middlebury falling by a score of 6-3. Junior Anna Burke (Summit, N.J.) and sophomore Leah Kepping (Northport, N.Y.) picked up singles wins for the Panthers.
Middlebury followed that up with a 5-0 win over #20 Mary Washington, in a match played to decision. Junior Victoria Aiello (Milton, Mass.) earned a solid win in singles play over the 33rd-ranked player in the country.
The trip concluded with a tight 5-4 win over #11 Gustavus Adolphus. Aiello earned another solid win in singles play, with Burke clinching the match with her singles victory.
