Women's Tennis In Action At ITAs

The Panther women's tennis team took part in the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Babson and Wellesley over the weekend. Sophomore Leah Kepping (Northport, N.Y) excelled for the Panthers, advancing to the quarterfinals of the 64-person bracket.

Kepping earned 6-1, 6-3 and 6-4, 6-1 wins in the first two rounds, before picking up a 6-1, 7-6(4) victory. She was defeated 7-5, 7-5 in the quarterfinals by Kristin Alotta of Williams, who advanced to the championship.

In doubles action, Kepping and her classmate Brittney Faber (Minnetonka, Minn.) also made a nice run. The duo cruised 8-2, 8-2, 8-3 through four victories and into the semifinals. They were then defeated 8-3 by the eventual bracket champions.
