The Middlebury women's tennis team played its first home match of the spring as the #13 Panthers picked up a 5-4 win over #25 Skidmore. Middlebury trailed 2-1 after doubles play, but received wins from Elizabeth Stone, Clare Burke and Victoria Aiello to take a 4-2 lead in the match. Skidmore battled back with wins at #5 and #6 singles, as the contest came down to the #2 singles match between Chandra Kurien and Rachel Loeb of Skidmore. After dropping the first set, Kurien came back to earn a 7-5 win in the second set, before clinching the match with a 6-4 victory in the third.
