The Middlebury College women's swimming and diving team took part in the NESCAC Championships hosted by Bowdoin over the weekend. The Panthers finished the event in fourth place with 1,047 points, behind Williams (1827), Amherst (1429) and Tufts (1145). Sophomore Emily McDonald (Glenwood Springs, Colo.) was a part of three impressive relay finishes, while capturing the 50 free with a school-record time of 23.92. McDonald also earned a second place finish in the 100 free (51.70-school record), while placing fourth in the 50 fly (26.22).

Senior Catherine Suppan (Burlington, Vt.) set a school record with a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.39), while placing third in the 50 back (27.31). Sophomore Alyssa Ha (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) came in fourth in the 200 IM (2:08.72), while first-year diver Meagan Collins (Darien, Conn.) was fourth in the 1M (369.30) and third in the 3M (425.20) diving competitions. Finishing third in the 100 breaststroke was sophomore Jessie Ward (Pittsford, N.Y.) with a time of 1:07.76, while junior Katie Soja (Sudbury, Mass.) was fourth in the 1,000 free (10:34.07).

Placing third in the 200 free relay in 1:36.33, were the Middlebury relay team comprised of McDonald, Ha, Suppan and senior Lindsey Dattels (Wilmette, Ill.). Ha, Suppan, McDonald and sophomore Annie Friedlander (Deephaven, Minn.) finished third overall in the 400 free, earning a time of 3:33.21. Placing second with a new school record in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:46.27 were Suppan, Ward, McDonald and Friedlander. Suppan's 50 back lead-off leg was also a school record with a time of 27.19.
