Middlebury scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning as the Panthers rallied to win the second game and swept a NESCAC West Division doubleheader against host Hamilton.
Middlebury (17-9, 5-3 NESCAC West) won the nightcap 6-5 after cruising to an 8-2 victory in Game 1.
Maura Casey led off the seventh inning with a single to left field and advanced to second base on a bunt single by Allison Bard. Ellen Sargent moved both runners up on a sacrifice bunt. Susan Miranowski drove in Casey with another bunt single down the third base line. Bard scored the game-winning run on a ground ball to second base by Colleen Sullivan.
Sullivan finished the game with a double and three RBI. Casey and Bard also doubled and collected three hits apiece. Brittany Burke pitched two and two-thirds scoreless innings of relief to pick up her 10th win.
In the opener, Amelia Magistrali went 4-4 with a double and a triple and drove in two runs for the Panthers. Burke pitched all seven innings as she allowed two runs on 10 hits, walked one and struck out three.
