The Panther women's tennis team won two of four matches played on their southern trip during spring break. Ninth-ranked Middlebury defeated St. Lawrence 8-1 and topped the University of Chicago 6-3, before falling 7-2 to #2 W&L and 6-2 to #1 Emory.

Junior Emily Holick (Sudbury, Mass.) boasted a perfect 4-0 record in singles play on the week, junior Amy Roche (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) went 3-1, first-year player Elizabeth Stone (Cohasset, Mass.) went 2-1, while sophomore Amanda Berck (Roslyn, N.Y.) was 2-2. In doubles play, Holick/Stone went 2-2 to lead the team.
