Middlebury swept two from Norwich in its final regular season games of '04. The Panthers took game one 8-5 before winning the second game 4-3 in eight innings. Michaela George, Lauren Battaglia and Colleen Sullivan each had two hits apiece to lead the Panthers in the first game. Christine Freyer drove in a pair, while Kathryn Hurd scored three runs. Lauren Bowe earned the win, allowing three earned runs.
In game two, Freyer doubled in Hurd with the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Middlebury the win. George plated Lauren Guza earlier in the inning with a SAC fly for the game-tying run. Freyer had a pair of hits in the game to lead the offense, while Jennifer Williams threw eight innings and struck out seven to earn the win.
