Women's Golf Ties For Second Among 16 at Mt. Holyoke

The Middlebury women's golf team finished in a tie for second place among 16 teams at the Mount Holyoke Invitational. Williams won the event with a two-day total of 599, while New York University and the Panthers were well back, each coming in with a 622. Action took place at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Middlebury returns to action next weekend when it hosts the George Phinney Jr. Golf Classic.

Chloe Levins led the Middlebury squad in a tie for fourth place, carding an impressive 73 on Saturday and a 78 today for a 151. Katie Murphy was tied with four others in ninth place, coming in with a two-day total of 155 (79-76). In a tie for 20th place was Anna Zumwinkle, who shaved seven strokes off her day one score to finish with a 161 (84-77). Kayla Li shot the exact opposite scores as Zumwinkle with a 77 on Saturday and an 84 on Sunday. One stroke back with a 162 (81-81) was Elizabeth Kenter, while Maddy Cordeiro was eight shots better on Sunday for a 178 (93-85). Maren O'Shea (96-94-190) and Evey Kriter (113-97-210) rounded out the Panther team.
