Middlebury Finishes Third at NESCAC Qualifier

The Panther women's golf team placed third among six teams at the 2019 NESCAC Fall Qualifier. The top four teams advance to the spring championship, which will be hosted by Williams on April 25-26. The Ephs placed first with a 619, followed by Amherst (624), Middlebury (635) and Hamilton (679). Action took place at the Taconic Country Club in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Katie Murphy placed third overall at the qualifier, coming in with a two-day total of 152 (77-75). Chloe Levins tied for seventh overall with a 159 (81-78), followed by Blake Yaccino in ninth with a 160 (80-80). Kayla Li was 12 strokes better on Sunday, coming in with a 76 for a two-day total of 164, tying her for 12th overall. Elizabeth Kenter rounded out the team in 22nd place, shooting a 178 (88-90).

The event also doubles as the Williams Fall Invitational, where the Panthers were third among 12 teams. Taking part in the event were Anna Zumwinkle (87-96-108), Maddy Cordeiro (92-97-189), Maren O'Shea (101-91-192) and Evey Kriter (113-95-208).
