Panthers Compete at Saratoga Invitational

The Middlebury men's golf team finished seventh among nine teams at the Saratoga Invitational hosted by Skidmore. NYU won the event with a 577, followed by Babson (578) and Rensselaer (588). The Panthers came in with a two-day score of 599 in the competitive field, including a 297 on Sunday. Action took place at the Saratoga National Golf Course. Middlebury wraps up its fall season on Tuesday at the annual Ekwanok Sap Bucket Challenge in Manchester, Vermont.

Jeffrey Giguere was the team's top finisher at the event, tying for 11th overall with a two-day total of 146 (72-74). Two strokes back in a tie for 17th place were both Phin Choukas (77-71) and John Mikus (72-76). David Packer was next for the Panthers with a 157 (81-76), followed by Chris Thompson, who carded an 83 and 80 for a two-round total of 163.
