The Middlebury men's golf team sits in seventh place after shooting an opening-round score of 315 on Friday at the NESCAC Championship. Tufts leads the way with a 298, while Williams is two strokes back. Trinity and Hamilton share a tie for third at 308.

- Sitting in a tie for 10th with three other golfers is Charlie Schulman. The Panther fired a 76 over the first round and had a birdie in two of his final four holes.
- Jake Forrest has a share of 14th, carding a 77 during the opening day.
- The third Middlebury golfer was Evan Fulgieri, who logged an 80 to sit in a four-way tie for 25th.
- Julian Galindo Macias is two strokes back. The Panther recorded an eagle on the par-five 15th for a share of 32nd.
- Rounding out the Panther competitors is Nathan Keshen, who is tied for 35th with an 83.
