The second NCAA event of the season is underway as the Panther ski teams are competing at the University of New Hampshire Carnival. Dartmouth leads after one day with 492 points, followed by Vermont (424) and Middlebury (398). Action continues on Saturday with nordic races as well as the slalom.

The Middlebury nordic teams had another strong showing, with both squads placing second at the Jackson Ski Touring Center in Jackson, New Hampshire. Both Lewis Nottonson and Annika Landis earned third-place finishes in their respective races. Nottonson finished with a time of 54:40 in the men's 20K classic, while Landis crossed the line in 47:16 during the 15K classic.

Alexandra Lawson finished seventh (47:39) for the women, while Avery Ellis earned a career-best 12th-place finish with a time of 48:48. Peter Wolter placed seventh overall in 55:05 on the men's side, while Samuel Hodges was next in 11th place (55:27).

On the alpine hill, Lucia Bailey placed seventh overall with a time of 2:15.57 to lead the Panthers. Madison Lord came in ninth place for a career-best finish in 2:15.95 in the giant slalom. Samantha McClellan rounded out the scorers in 20th place (2:20.04), as the Panthers placed third overall. Caroline Bartlett led the race after the first run, but did not complete her second trip down the mountain.

Leading the men down Cannon Mountain was Erik Arvidsson, who completed his two runs in 2:09.49, good for third place overall. Justin Alkier was next, finishing a career-best 15th with a time of 2:12.31. Pate Campbell completed the scorers in 28th place overall with a time of 2:13.84. Tim Gavett was seventh after the first run, but could not finish his second run.
