Nicholas Unkovskoy of the Middlebury alpine skiing team has been tabbed to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America At-Large First Team.
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- Unkovskoy becomes the second alpine skier in as many years and the third overall to be named a CSC Academic All-America honoree.
- He is a rising senior who is majoring in economics.
- Last winter, the Panther raced to All-American accolades at the NCAA Championships with a third-place effort in the giant slalom.
- That finish marked the highest showing in the discipline at the national invitational in 11 years.
- Unkovskoy collected eight finishes inside the top 10 across the slalom and giant slalom.
- The captain is a two-time NCAA Qualifier and was a Second-Team All-East selection last year.
- He concludes his junior season with a quartet of podium efforts and 16 top-10 finishes so far in his career.
- In the classroom, Unkovskoy has recorded two NESCAC All-Academic honors.
