Levins Earns Medalist Honors at Williams Fall Invitational

The Middlebury women's golf team placed fifth among 15 teams at the Williams Fall Invitational. Chloe Levins earned medalist honors at the event, besting the field by five strokes. NYU won the event with a 622, followed by Williams (625), Amherst (633), Wellesley (649) and Middlebury (651). Weekend play took place at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The Panthers return to action next weekend when they host the George Phinney Classic, which also doubles at the NESCAC Championships.

Levins carded an impressive round of 70 on Saturday, following that up with a 76 for a two-day total of 146. Blake Yaccino was next for the Panthers, finishing in a tie for 17th place with a 161 (78-83). Helen Dailey shot a 167 (82-85).

Maddy Cordeiro took seven strokes off her day one score with an 85 on Sunday, finishing with a 177. Shooting a 185 (91-94) was Anna Zumwinkle, while Erika Nakagawa shot a 189 (95-94).
