Women's Golf Begins Spring at Vassar

The Middlebury women's golf team opened up its spring season at the Vassar Invitational. The event at the Casperkill Golf Club became an 18-hole tournament after Sunday's play was cancelled due to weather. The Panthers finished fourth overall in the 11-team event with a 329, while New York University took home the title by shooting a 319.

Blake Yaccino led Middlebury by tallying an 80, placing her in ninth place overall. Next up was Hope Matthews with an 82 (15th) and Katharine Fortin, who was one stroke back with an 83 (19th). Just one shot behind Fortin was Helen Dailey with an 84 (23rd), followed by Chloe Levins, who shot an 89 (39th). Also competing for the Panthers was Erika Nakagawa, who shot a 90.
