Day One Complete at George Phinney/NESCAC Women's Golf Championship

Williams leads after one day of play at the 2018 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship/Geroge Phinney Classic at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the Middlebury campus. The Ephs shot a 320 on Saturday, one stroke better than Amherst (321) and six strokes ahead of the hosts from Middlebury (326). Action concludes on Sunday with 18 holes of golf beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Cordelia Chan of Williams led all players on day one, shooting a 74. Joanna Kim and Olivia White aided the first-place team, each shooting an 81. Hamilton's Celia Lau was next with a 75, followed by Chloe Levins of Middlebury with a 76. Amherst's Isabelle Ouyang and Middlebury's Blake Yaccino rounded out the top five, each shooting a 79.

Anna Zumwinkle shot an 84, Helen Dailey carded an 87, while Maddy Cordeiro came in with a 94 to round out the Panthers.
