Women's Golf Places Third at Wellesley

Middlebury finished third among six teams at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational Tournament hosted by Wellesley at the Nehoiden Golf Club. The Panthers shot a solid 311 on Sunday to come in with a 630 overall. Amherst (619) and Williams (622) took home the top two spots. Middlebury returns to action next weekend at the Mount Holyoke Invitational.

Katharine Fortin was the team's top finisher, taking five strokes off her day one score to finish in fourth-place overall with a 155 (80-75). Hope Matthews was next in a tie for 10th place with a 157 (78-79), followed by Blake Yaccino (78-80) in a tie for 12th with a 158. Chloe Levins (84-76) followed in 14th place with a 160, while Helen Dailey wrapped up the scorers in 18th place with a two-day total of 163 (83-80). Also competing was Erika Nakagawa, who carded a 189 (99-90) to place 37th.
