Women's Golf Ends Fall at NESCAC Championship

The Middlebury women's golf team concluded its fall season with a third-place finish at the 2017 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship hosted by Williams at the Taconic Golf Club. The Ephs won the six-team event with a two-day total of 612, followed by Amherst (624) and the Panthers (628).

Blake Yaccino bettered her day one score by five strokes, shooting a 75 to finish with a team-best 155, good for fifth place. Next for the Panthers was Helen Dailey, who shot an 81 on Sunday to place in a tie for sixth overall with a 157. Middlebury's final three golfers were all separated by one stroke. Chloe Levins shot an 84 to finish with a 160 (ninth), while Hope Matthews carded an 80 for a two-day total of 160 (11th). Katharine Fortin was four strokes better on Sunday, shooting a 79 to come in with a 162 (14th).
