Middlebury is in third place after one day of competition at the 2017 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship hosted by Williams at the Taconic Golf Club. The hosts lead with a 306, followed by Amherst (307) and the Panthers (313). The six-team event resumes on Sunday with a 9:00 a.m. start.
Helen Dailey and Chloe Levins lead Middlebury after 18 holes, both sitting in a tie for fifth place after each carding a 76. Next for the Panthers was Blake Yaccino, who shot an 80, followed by an 81 from Hope Matthews. Katharine Fortin rounded out the squad with an 83 on Saturday.
